12th August 2022

The weather may be getting hotter, but water remain dangerously cold. We urge people to not attempt to walk on the sand banks and to stay safe in the sun.

If you get into trouble in the water, floating could save your life. Lean back, using your arms and legs to stay afloat. Control your breathing, then call for help or swim to safety.

In an emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
