Tasked to assist a grounded vessel re-float. As soon as there was sufficient water, we positioned our IRB alongside and securely connected a tow with our main Rescue Boat.
Utilising a combined effort with the IRB pushing, rescue boat pulling and the power of the casualty vessels engines, we managed to refloat the vessel.

Tasked by Humber Coastguard at 09:19 to reports of a dog in the River Humber, near Barton. Two small boats had launched from Barton Haven to assist and had safely recovered the dog.
We escorted the small boats back to Barton Haven and we were stood down.

Tasked to a vessel experiencing difficult between Hull Marina and the Humber Bridge.
Upon arrival on scene, we were informed the engine wouldn’t start. The decision was made to tow the vessel to Hull Marina where the occupants moored up for the evening.
Team stood down and returned to station.
Hull Coastguard Rescue Team also in attendance.

Tasked to a broken down vessel within the vicinity of Brough. We arrived on scene and swiftly set up a tow and took the vessel to Hull Marina.
The boat was refueled and ready for service at 20:20.

The busy period continues with 6 call-outs in less than 24 hours! Tasked at 15:55 to an incident in the vicinity of St Andrews Quay.
We were then re-tasked at 16:30 to a vessel aground with reports that she almost has sufficient water to re-float. This was, however, unsuccessful due to the height of the tide.

Today as we continue to mourn the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen, we remember all, including the emergency service personnel, who never finished their shift and returned home as they tried to save as many as they could 21 years ago today.

Heatwave

The weather may be getting hotter, but water remain dangerously cold. We urge people to not attempt to walk on the sand banks and to stay safe in the sun.
If you get into trouble in the water, floating could save your life. Lean back, using your arms and legs to stay afloat. Control your breathing, then call for help or swim to safety.
In an emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.

Tasked by Humber Coastguard to reports of a person in the water between Hull Marina and the Humber Bridge. After launching with 4 crew, we commenced a search alongside Coastguard Helicopter '912'.
The casualty was located after 90 minutes and assisted onto our boat before returning to our boathouse where they were handed over to the awaiting paramedics, expected to make a full recovery.

Charity Football

On Sunday 8th January, Fishers AFC is welcoming Supporting Charities Football Club at Bridlington Town Football Club in their first charity fundraiser of 2023. Raising funds for both Humber Rescue & Teenage Cancer Trust.

2022 saw us attend 104 call-outs with 12 lives saved. 13 Vessels that were in difficulty that were safely rescued along with their crew & passengers and 1 dog returned to their owner.
