HUMBER RESCUE
AT A GLANCE.
Spanning one of the busiest and most dangerous waterways in the country, Humber Rescue is a UK independent lifeboat charity protecting over 525 square kilometres of water across East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, and Nottinghamshire.
Our completly volunteer ran charity operates 365 days a year from our strategically positioned boathouse beneath the Humber Bridge. With rapid launch capability and top speeds of up to 45 knots, we respond within minutes, covering this vast stretch of water where strong tides, shifting mudbanks, and heavy shipping traffic create constant risk.
From isolated mudbanks and sandbanks to major ports, Humber Rescue provides essential lifeboat cover where it’s needed most. As a UK independent lifeboat, we are not part of the RNLI and rely solely on public support to keep our boats running and our crew rescue-ready.
